We are excited to partner with Butte College Advanced Manufacturing for our 2nd Annual Girls in Manufacturing Summer Camp. We’re seeking girls aged 10 to 18 who are eager to explore industry equipment, unleash their creativity, and delve into the realm of manufacturing.
This skills camp will expose students aged anywhere from 10-18 to manufacturing related skills, equipment and processes. Students will create, build and take the final product home. At camp, they will tour manufacturing facilities and learn about entrepreneurship, and meet top industry experts.
This victory not only underscores the Buyer’s Club’s commitment to supporting local talent and fostering educational growth but also celebrates the undeniable power of regional skill development in the fields of manufacturing and engineering.
This skills camp exposes students (12-14) to manufacturing related skills, equipment, and processes.
GMI hosted over 200 high school students on Dec. 6th, 2023 at Butte College. This was the 1st in-person expo since we went virtual in 2020 and 1st year at Butte College.
The Grow Manufacturing Initiative is a proud member of California’s Manufacturing Network. The Network was formed and is managed by CMTC, to efficiently serve manufacturers statewide. As a member of California’s Manufacturing Network, the Grow Manufacturing Initiative delivers technical assistance services and resources which address the regional challenges driven by the diverse manufacturing community. California’s Manufacturing Network is a collaboration of more than 20 organizations throughout the state, serving more than 2,000 companies annually, and adding significant economic impact for manufacturers and the public good of the State of California.
