GMI Expo Sponsorship

This will be the 1st in-person expo since we went virtual in 2020 and 1st year at Butte College. The Expo will be on the 2nd day of the Butte College AMP Training and will be the tabling portion of the event. Day One is a friendly competition in which participating students will design and build a product and demo the latest manufacturing technology and equipment.

Day Two is about exploration and inspiration! Come and witness the cutting-edge technologies, products, and processes on display in “Exhibitor Hall” inside the Advanced Manufacturing facility. If you wish to support the Grow Manufacturing Initiative in offsetting the expenses related to hosting this event and secure a spot for your company's listing in the Expo program, consider becoming a sponsor!

• Full-page printed ad in the event program. This includes the publication of your company’s name, logo, location, and a brief description of what your company does in the 2023 Grow Manufacturing Expo program. A virtual PDF of the program will be distributed and emailed to attendees ahead of the event.

Girls in Manufacturing Sponsorship

As we all know it's harder and harder to find good employees. Butte College and GMI are pairing up to host the First Annual Girls Manufacturing Summer Camp to introduce young adults to the world of manufacturing early on.

We aim to build the framework to do more camps, introducing more young adults to manufacturing. The proposed dates for the camp are June and/or July of 2024 and the target age group is 12-14 years old.

These young adults will get hands-on experience using our equipment at Butte College

We could really use the help of industry through female volunteers and through donations. These young adults will walk away with a grab bag of goodies including a T-shirt and we would love to put any sponsors for this event on that T-shirt. 

GMI Buyer's Club

The Butte County Fair has partnered with GMI Buyer’s Club and together we have created the BCF Fabrication Institute. This program will allow participants to share their project information and be provided with guidance and support. At the end of the program participants will be able to sell their projects at the Industrial Arts Youth Auction. In addition to marketing their products participants may be afforded internship opportunities and one participant will be awarded the Star Participant Award. The program will consist of four three-hour meetings between November 2023 and August 2024.

We have 30 students registered for next year’s fair youth auction, compared to last year’s 1 that is pretty good! These are all Butte County High School Students (Chico, Oroville, Gridley, and Vina).
